The Hill Family, starting with our father, Aaron Hill, has been building in the Golden Triangle Area of Columbus, Starkville and West Point, providing custom built homes for over thirty years. Hill Family Homes continues that heritage today by providing both custom built homes, as well as homes for sale with very unique design and quality throughout.

David and Andrew Hill are the third generation of the Hill Family in construction industry. Their grandfather was a carpenter from Oxford and built many of the historic structures on the campus of the University of Mississippi. Aaron Hill, the father, began our history over 30 years ago and it allowed them to grow up in the construction industry working for their father from an early age as laborers and carpenters, learning the trade from the ground up. One superintendent told them he didn’t know who had it worse, them or him, He couldn’t fire them, and they couldn’t quit!!!

They haven’t quit and each have used their different personalities and talents to provide a wide range of experiences that make this team really unique.
 

After graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering from Mississippi State University in 1978,  Don White began his construction career as a project engineer with Weyerhauser Corporation.

In 1980, his career focus shifted from the commercial industry to residential construction.  After establishing Don White Construction, Inc., Don began building homes in the newly developed Sherwood Forest community.

Over the past 28 years, he has built custom and speculative homes throughout the Columbus, Starkville and West Point communities, emphasizing his commitment to the construction process and design excellence.  Many of his homes feature granite counter tops, hardwood floors, specialty moldings, 8 foot interior doors, and tumbled marble master baths.  Floor plans are individually selected and tailored to family lifestyles with an emphasis on low maintenance.

His latest joint venture has been in the planning and developing of Arbor Walk, where he is currently beginning construction on several new homes.  Arbor Walk is a planned community of 100 home sites, located only a short distance from downtown Columbus and within minutes of Starkville and West Point, MS.
